The CBA test is an evaluation of the Th1 / Th2 cytokine balance. When we get the results of the CBA test, we often look at them as a difficult puzzle to solve. However, the devil is not so black as they paint him.

The first on the list is mostly interferon gamma (IFNγ), in short it is our resistance both innate and adaptive. IFNγ is a cytokine and is responsible for viruses, some bacterial and primary infections, and is an important activator of macrophages. Abnormal IFNγ expression is associated with a number of autoimmune diseases. That is, when high (upward arrow) may indicate an autoimmune disease. IFNγ is mainly produced by NK cells and CD4 T cells, Th1 and CD8. It is the main indicator of the Th1 advantage. It inhibits the production of IgG and IgE antibodies and increases the secretion of IgM antibodies. This increases the so-called “delayed sensitivity to food”. This leads to fatigue after eating caused by an incorrect diet. There is exercise intolerance because IFNγ raises other inflammatory cytokines (IL-1b TNF), and they inhibit orexin neurons (neurons located in the lateral part of the hypothalamus). Interferon reduces serotonin in the intestine, and also increases oxidative stress. When we have a downward arrow we are dealing with Th-1 inflammation (With Th1 dominance). It can contribute to the occurrence of serious psychiatric disorders (depression, anxiety, insomnia and cognitive impairment). This often leads to cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and diabetes. Some studies indicate that IFNγ deficiency may be involved in the development of aggressive tumors. The high level of IFNγ and TNF protects us against cancer and at the same time induces autoimmune (so-called INF-compromise).

The second on the list is tumor necrosis factor (TNF). It is also an inflammatory cytokine secreted by cells of the immune system. It activates NK cells, increases neutrophil phagocytarity, enhances proliferation and differentiation of T and B lymphocytes. It causes hemorrhagic necrosis of solid tumors. TNF factor affects many different target cells, it is a strong mediator of inflammatory and immunological processes. Its excess signals a chronic form of the disease (upward arrow, Th1 dominance) whereas underflow indicates poor immunology and may contribute to the formation of tumors.

Then we have interleukins. IL-2 is a cytokine from the Th1, an upward arrow indicates its advantage. In contrast, IL-10, IL-5, IL-4 are cytokines from the Th2. When they are elevated (up arrow) we are talking about the domination of Th2. For the immune system to be in balance and the disease to be eradicated, the Th2 effect on Th1 must also be in equilibrium.

At the end of the test, the ratios are given, the upwards arrows indicate the advantage of Th1. The higher the ratio, the more we can get better. Th2 dominance is considered an anti-inflammatory profile because people with this profile have lower levels of systemic inflammation. The negative effects of Th2 domination are probably more benign than people with Th1 dominance. Patients with Th2 dominance will produce a lot of antibodies, but they will suffer from food allergies. People with Th2 domination should do the test and check the level of IgE in the blood. Chronic raising of Th2 increases the risk of certain cancers such as breast cancer, colon cancer and pancreatic cancer. People with Th1 dominance, do not methylate or suppress enough of a certain gene (interferon gamma), often homocysteine ​​is elevated which indicates hypomethylation. And with the Th2 domination there is too much methylation of the interferon gamma gene. In both versions, it is advisable to use TMG, SAM-e and B group vitamins. These supplements exclude the immune system, but to a certain extent.

If we have Th1 and Th2 equilibrium and we have different kinds of ailments, it means that we do not have Lyme. There are many diseases that develop in this balance, for example ulcerative colitis or diabetic neuropathy.

To sum up, all patients with Th2 dominance have low inflammation, and thus much less severe symptoms, but they become a good target for various types of cancer. Depending on what dominates the Th frame, we choose the right diet. Many supplements with Th1 (and increased INF) can be knocked out, especially those that increase interferon gamma. Nothing that raises natural NK cells is inadvisable.
